Frequently Asked Questions

The 8th Annual Optometric Glaucoma Symposium is an “in-person only” event. It will not be live streamed, and it will not be possible to attend virtually.

Unvaccinated individuals will not be able to attend, including those with medical or religious exemptions for vaccination.

By February 2, 2023, you must be two weeks past your final dose in the primary series of COVID-19 vaccinations. In most cases this means you will need to have completed your primary series of vaccinations by January 19, 2023. Any of the accepted vaccines listed on the WHO Emergency Use List will be accepted for entry to Glaucoma 360 if the final shot is completed by January 19, 2023.

Glaucoma Research Foundation is committed to everyone’s safety at Glaucoma 360. Therefore, proof of COVID-19 vaccination will be required for all attendees, exhibitors, staff, and contractors. Due to the fluidity of the current situation, additional safety protocols for Glaucoma 360 may be announced closer to the meeting. All decisions are based on best practices as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as well as from both the State of California and City of San Francisco. In addition, all attendees are encouraged to be current with their COVID-19 vaccine boosters.

If you would like to reserve a hotel room, you can book your Glaucoma 360 accommodations at the iconic Westin St. Francis San Francisco, located on Union Square in San Francisco. Glaucoma 360 meetings and events take place between February 2-4, 2023. Our special rate is $269 per/night, plus tax and fees. An extended room block period is available, allowing attendees to conveniently arrive before the Gala or stay a few extra days to enjoy the San Francisco Bay Area. The deadline to book a sleeping room at The Westin St. St. Francis San Francisco is January 10, 2023. After this date, the hotel will need to be contacted directly to confirm availability.

Please see the transportation and parking information on the Venue page of this website.
